OBJECTIVE

To develop "hot" technical writing on the Web using the latest available technologies, such as Java, JavaScript, CGI, Perl, and C shell scripts. Particularly interested in multimedia applications for educational purposes, since manuals and tutorials in hard-copy are done much better in HTML format.

HTML/WEB DESIGN EXPERIENCE

Developed and mantained Web pages and servers since the spring of 1993. Techniques used on the pages include CGI (written utilizing C and Perl scripts), forms, frames, tables, and HTML 2.0, 2+, 3.0, and Netscape extensions. The pages were developed with custom tools written in C, Hypertalk, and WordBasic.

Expertise in all flavors and aspects of HTML including backgrounds, font sizes/colors, tables, imagemaps (both client and server), client-pull, and server-push. Setup of user authentication and password databases. Experienced with servers fromWEBStar.

Here are some examples of my work:

WORK HISTORY

In the last six years, I have worked on a free-lance and semi-permanent basis for several Fortune 500 corporate clients, including IBM, Chemical Bank, American Express. At these clients I had various responsibilities, ranging from troubleshooting assignments and technical writing to network design. At American Express I supervised two employees while helping manage nearly 200 Macs, and I documented networking technical systems at Chemical Bank using Visual Basic and HTML.

In addition, I have worked for other major clients. For example, at Willkie, Farr, and Gallagher, one of the top 20 law firms in the United States, I helped to manage the transition from a Wang VS environment to a LAN running PC's and Macs connected over an Ethernet backbone. I have also done private work for several other law offices, travel agencies, real estate offices, and public relations firms. I have worked in many facets of computing, including graphics, databases, word processing, and, of course, web design. I have also written some books when I had a spare moment or two.
